We don't often talk about dashcams, but we've reviewed a few over the years, and they can be an excellent tool if you're someone that's always on the road. Of course, if you're shopping for your first one, there's a pretty good chance you're not looking to spend a ton of money.
And while there are plenty of brands you've never of offering some cheap options, we think this Garmin model hits a good middle ground when it comes to features, performance, and price. The Dash Cam Mini 3 is usually priced at $150, but thanks to this rare discount, you can now save $50, as the dashcam comes priced at $100.
Minimal, powerful, and affordable

This Garmin dashcam is simple and compact. All you need to do is plug it in, pop in a memory card, set it up using the accompanying app, and you're ready to go. If you've been shopping around for a dashcam, you might notice that this one doesn't come with a screen. That's because you interact with this model using the app on your phone or voice commands.
It might not be an ideal setup for all, but it kind of makes sense. Once you get things dialed in using the app, you won't need to really touch anything else. And with voice commands, it gives you access to important actions you may need without taking your hands off the wheel. If you need to save a clip, there is a SAVE button on the dashcam.
When it comes to the recordings, you get video and audio, with the former recording at 1080p. The Dash Cam Mini 3 also features a polarizer on the lens to deliver the best quality, cutting through your windshield's reflections and intense bursts of light from the sun. You also get a 140-degree field of view, which can capture nearly everything ahead of you.
As mentioned before, the app will be the place where you can tweak the settings for the camera. And if you have Wi-Fi built into your car, you can even get a live view of what's happening straight from the app. And if you have it wired right, you can also have the dashcam record, even when your car is parked.
For the most part, there's a lot to love here. Garmin is known for making solid products, and this is just another example. Be sure to act quickly, though, because this $50 discount won't last long.
